Hemalyke or Hemalike
is a synthetic hematite that is made by grinding up hematite adding a biner
(glue) and then press-molding it. . Hemalyke looks very much like natural
hematite - it is hard to them apart.
Hematine is an artificial version of Hematite. Hematine is widely used in jewelry. Hematine is a recent trade term for a synthetic replicate and is also known by some as hematite pseudomorphous after magnetite.
