Lot of 3 vintage flat soup bowls in the Liberty shape, English Regency decal, by Homer Laughlin -  dated 1950's

• marked Homer Laughlin, made in U.S.A, 1 has G 53 N 8, 1 has M 52 N 8, and 1 has A 54 N 8 - all are also stamped with Cunningham & Pickett, Inc., warranted 22 kt gold, Hand Decorated, Stratford, Alliance, Ohio
• measure 8 3/8 inches across
• rose floral decal in pastel pinks, yellows and greens is shown in The Collector's Encyclopedia of Homer Laughlin China Reference & Value Guide by Joanne Jasper, 1992, on page 122, plate 153, the pattern on the right called English Regency, pattern HLC #G 3357
• the bowls are not in the shape shown with the decal, but are instead in the Liberty shape, shown on page 50, plate 47
• the Liberty shape is characterized by a "Gadroon" edge, which appears on all pieces, consisting of an embossing in the form of a delicate braid, usually highlighted in gold or platinum and with a slightly scalloped edge
• these bowls are in very good vintage condition, with no cracks, chips or crazing, but a little gold wear around the rims
• I don't know their history
