An unusual outsider type impressionist painting, purchased in South Mississippi. Measures approx 16 inches tall and 10 inches wide. Painting is on stretched canvas and depicts a modernist/naive type landscape scene. Very striking art.
The painting is signed in the right corner, Name is possibly Ruby W. Henry, but the last name could start with a W. The number signed by the artist is possibly a date.
Good vintage condition. Has some soiling marks on reverse of canvas. There is a tiny dot at top right corner which I think is part of the painting, because it is flat, but could be a tiny mark on the canvas. Please see photos.
