Measuring approximately 8 1/2 by 11 inches, this preliminary original art sketch features the work of acclaimed comics artists Kerry Gammill. Drawn on vellum (tracing paper) is in good condition with only very minor wear and will be shipped with the utmost care. Features one of the wedding dress designs for Lois for Superman: The Wedding Album (Dec., 1996). In the issue, Lois was to model several possible dresses, and this design was one of them but did not actually appear in the issue- other, more modern dresses were selected for inclusion in the issue. It is based, as can be seen from the notes, on Laura Petrie's wedding dress from The Dick Van Dyke Show. Beautiful art and a great piece of history from the Superman mythos, as anything having to do with the wedding is always a popular item. Please note- this is an actual, original piece of art drawn by hand by Gammill. It is not a copy, print or pre-printed image. It is a one-of-a-kind original!
