CARIA PAKTOLOS SOAP DISPENSER

Product Code: 24FBPC106

Caria, in ancient times, was the name of the region covering most of present-day Aydın and Muğla provinces, as well as the western edge of Denizli province. The northern boundary is defined by the Büyük Menderes (Maiandros) River, while the Dalaman (Indos) River marks the boundary with neighboring Lycia to the east. The west and south are bordered by the Aegean Sea.

One of the natural environments where the stones used in the product are found is the Pactolus River, which originates from Bozdağ, flows through the ancient city of Sardes, the capital of the Lydia Kingdom, now within the borders of Manisa, and then merges into the Gediz River. The ancient city of Sardes was established here due to the presence of gold mines carried by the Pactolus River from the Bozdağ Mountains. The treasures of King Croesus (Krezüs) belong to this era. Another legend is that King Midas of Phrygia, who turned everything he touched into gold, lost his ability to turn things into gold by washing in this river, resulting in the river becoming known for carrying gold while Midas lost his power.
