Standard System Features Include:

• Activation is achieved by pressing your factory remote's lock button three times within 4 seconds: So, the distance that you will be able to activate the remote starter will be the same distance that you can lock and unlock the vehicle now.
  
  
• Diesel Delay B4 Crank: This system will turn the vehicle's ignition ON, wait 10 seconds to allow for glow plug warming (standard time), then crank/start the vehicle. If you need more or less timing, let us know during your order. We can adjust the time for you anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds in 5-second intervals. Settings cannot be changed after installation.
  
  Tech Tip: No one remote starter can work on both gas and diesel engines at the same time. Put a system meant for a gas engine on a diesel, and the system will crank the truck right away, not good. One designed for Diesel's has a wait before crank/start feature, allowing for glow-plug warming to preheat the cylinders, which is especially needed during colder weather. Even in warmer weather, GM indicates wait-to-start is always strongly recommended.
  
  
• 15-Minute Remote Start Run Time: The engine will shut down automatically after 15 minutes.
  
  
• Active Remote Shut-Down: You can cancel the remote starter sooner the same way you activated it.
  
  
• Active Key-Takeover: The remote starter will not shut down when the driver's door is opened.
  
  
• Automatically engages the vehicle's climate controls based on prior settings.
