UP FOR SALE: Franz Witter German Dresden Lace Porcelain Couple Duet Figurine Vintage 1950s

Absolutely stunning condition--the only thing I can see missing is maybe a flower on her skirt. There is a spot on her free wrist where you can see that the hand was attached to the arm upon manufacture--this is not a repair.
 
Marked on the back of the base with the Franz Witter blue Crown and F mark along with the word Dresden an the letter B.
The shown mark is very often misidentified based on the fact that Ackermann & Fritze and Ernst Bohne from Rudolstadt-Volkstedt (Thuringia) used similar marks. Both attributions are incorrect, the user of this mark (introduced around 1955) was Franz Witter from the town of Brühl in North-Rhine Westphalia. Some Franz Witter figurines were discovered to be actual genuine Dresden Meissen porcelain statues that were rebranded for international sale in the 1950's.

One of the most famous techniques of Dresden artists was something called Dresden lace. To create the illusion of real fabric on figurines of women dancing at royal balls or posing in groups, decorators would dip actual, delicate lace into porcelain slip before applying it by hand to the porcelain figure. When fired in a kiln, the fabric would burn away, leaving a hard but extremely fragile shell of frozen crinoline skirts and billowy material behind.
