Barfly was presented by Francis Ford Coppola, directed by Barbet Schroeder, and starred Mickey Rourke as Henry Chinaski, Buk’s alterego, and Faye Dunaway as his love interest (based in part on real-life love interest Jane Cooney Baker). It is set in Los Angeles, California, and features some of the dive bars around the Skid Row area.
