LAFCADIO HEARN

By Vera McWilliams.

Boston: Houghton Mifflin Co., 1946.

First edition, first printing.

1946 date printed in red to the title page, $3.00 to the jacket's flap.

An in-depth biography and literary life study including showing Hearn's various residences and travels including London, France, New York, New Orleans, West Indies, and his most influential writing place--Japan.

This elusive dust jacket has nicely protected the lovely binding.

Corners bumped else very good plus in fresh cream linen with brick-red embossed titles and decorations to the front cover and to the spine; in an about very good dust jacket with small chips and rubs to the lower spine edge and corner tips, heavy chips to the upper spine end, a narrow snagged hole to the slightly color-faded spine panel, short shelf-edge tears and crimps, rub-wear to the front flap-fold.

The dust jacket will be placed in a clear protective, removable sleeve after scanning for this entry.
