"HART PRAIRIE ROAD IN AUTUMN" BY HERBERT A. PANGBORN. 5x7 Grover View camera; Ektachrome B-3; f.22 at i / loth sec., 210 mni Schneider Symar lens; bright day in early October. This photograph was taken on the Hart Prairie Road in the Snow Bowl area of the San Francisco Peaks, near Flagstaff. A biting frost hit this aspen stand a few days before the photograph was taken, turning a green aisle into one of gold. Generally, autumn color is at its richest in this area in early October.
