"Psychology And  The Promethean Will"
By William H. Sheldon
A Constructive Study of the Acute Common Problem of Education, Medicine and Religion

William H. Sheldon, Ph.D./M.D. (1898-1977) wrote this richly inter-disciplinary essay while sojourning at Dartington Hall in Devon, England, (1934-35), where he became acquainted with Dorothy and Leonard Elmhirst, who had bought the decayed manor in 1925 as a seat for Promethean designs of their own--in education, art, music, etc.  Dartington became a "watering place" for the elite during the turbulent 1930's, when politics was as urgent as it was ambitious.
