Brass button depicts state seal of Kentucky, two figures a pioneer and a statesman shaking hands, around border "UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.", intended for Officer's of Kentucky Militia units which were few in number, but generally sympathetic to the southern cause.
