Estate find! BEAUTIFUL and sparkly, this is a Koret Koretolope evening bag, beaded. Made of "Non-Crockable" Suede calf, I assume there is suede under the beading.
My research suggests this was made in the 1940's in New York, USA.
This bag is hinged with a brass colored hardware and copper colored beading. The handle is beaded as well, sturdy, twisted or braided.
The brass colored hardware has some scratches, there is a loose, detached chain that likely went across for extra elegance but it appears to serve no purpose to the function of the bag.
Bag measures approximately 7" wide and 4.5 inches high, excluding the handle. I tried to capture in the photos, there is a slight pattern to the beading on the bag body.
There appears to be smashed beads under the latch closure but you cannot see them when the bag is closed so they made not have been there to begin with.
Bag could use some inside cleaning but it's pretty good for age. I could not find this exact bag to compare pricing so I'm shooting on the higher side due to age and style.
