Product description: Hard Cover; Fine; Dust Jacket - Good; Hard Cover. Fine/Good+++. First Edition. 9 x 12". Green boards with black stamping to spine and front cover. Jacket is black with red spine, red or white lettering, illustration of book and binding tools. Book has some crimping to spine ends, mild bump to top right corner, almost imperceptible lighter area of coloration to top of rear panel, very light foxing/toning to endpapers. Interior is clean and tight, appears to be unused. Jacket has general edgewear, with some chipping, especially to top of rear panel, plus a 1/2" x 1" chip to bottom of spine and a 1x1" chip to bottom of front panel, plus small chip to bottom of rear panel. There is also a two-inch closed tear to bottom of front panel, adjacent to the chip there, and a one-inch closed tear to top of front panel. This all sounds worse than it looks. Jacket is whole, with price intact and good color. An excellent pictorial demonstration of practical methods of binding magazine collections, books, and manuscripts. 40 pages, illustrated with 200 black-and-white photos and illustrations by the author. Edition not stated but appears to be a first. LOC 58-8473
