Rev W R Inge signed Letter Bembridge School Isle of Wight 1924 Dean of St Pauls
William Ralph Inge , June 6, 1860 to February 26, 1954, popularly referred to simply as Dean Inge, was an English author, Anglican prelate, professor of divinity at Cambridge, and Dean of St Pauls Cathedral.
This is an original hand written and signed letter by W R Inge in a reply to a request for him to go on a lecture tour. And is stamped as having been received at the Lecture Agency on August 8, 1924
The letter reads
Dear Sir
Thank you for your letter. Nothing would induce me to go on a lecture tour in America. I have already refused a thousand pounds offered me for this purpose.

W R Inge.
The letter has been folded and the writing had faded, but very readable. The letter measures about 6 3/4" x 8 3/4".the letterhead says: Bembridge School, From the Warden, Whitecliff Bay, Bembridge, Isle of Wight.
