An Amazing Menu from The Houston Club in Houston Texas. The heavy cover has a circular hole in it. Appearing in the hole is a medallion with the Houston Club Logo. The second page is made of plastic with a copper metallic color with the embossed logo that shows through the cover. The entire menu is bound with a plastic binding. The Next large page simply has the word Menu printed in a circle surrounded by the 1894  Houston Club  Crest. Bound in next is a 4page fold out on the Houston Club Coffee, with a short history of Coffee, an image of A Caffee Espresso Macchinetta-843 and 2 pages of offerings of Caffe Espressos, Cafes Demi a Demi, Around the World Coffees, Hot Drinks, Cheeses and Pastries. The 2 pages of Your Houston Club plantation Dinners and A La Carte Selections, with Emilio Gonzalez, Chef of Plantation Kitchen, Headwaiter, Earl Loggins and Roberto Campean Orchestra. Next is a page with Wine List printed in a circle in the Houston Club Crest. Another single page of Wine Producers Codes, followed by a 13 page extensive wine list. The oldest wine listed in from 1918 and the newest from 1959.  A 1953 Château Palmer was $3.95, a 1934 Château Latour was $13.50, a 1956 Romanee-Conti was $11.50 and a 1948 Château D'Yquem was $7.75. An exception menu of both design and content. Measures about 10 1/2" x 14" when closed.

The Houston Club is a Private Social Club. The club members are a part of Houston's business, civic, cultural, and financial communities. Members include business leaders, cultural leaders, consuls general, doctors, entrepreneurs, governors, mayors, and presidents. Notable members include former  President of the United States, George H W Bush, and James Baker.  Maggie Galehouse of the Houston Chronicle  said, "In its heyday - the mid-1950s to the mid-1980s - the Houston Club was the power broker club in the city."
