Vanity Powder Container Featuring 12 Tribes of Israel Embossed on Copper

Made in Israel: Vintage hammered enamel boudoir powder box (empty) embellished with embossed copper symbols of the ancient Twelve Tribes of Israel. 5" diameter, 3" tall, fully lined metal interior, crafted legs and top handle. Excellent vintage condition retains original Israeli price tags and faint odor of powder. 

I have seen these symbols listed as being signs of the Zodiac, Tarot, and seasons or months, but they are actually representative of the original Twelve Tribes: Reuben, Simeon, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Ephraim, and Manasseh. See the Map.
