Maisto 1/12 scale model motorcycles are highly detailed and measure approximately 6.5 inches long by 4.5 inches high by 2 inches wide, depending on the particular model. They are made of a combination of die cast metal and plastic parts. They have a working kick stand, the handle bars can steer and the wheels can spin.

These models don’t need any assembly or painting. They are ready for display out of the box (or even inside the box). These models, as any other scale models, are fragile and not intended to be used as toys to be played with unless one is very careful. Branding and paint schemes are accurate. They come packaged in a window box which measures approximately 8 inches long by 4.75 inches high by 2.75 deep.

The model comes attached by screws to an optional display base which measures 8.5 inches by 3.5 inches.

This is not a toy. Recommended for 15 and up.

The original Streetfighter model was first unveiled by Ducati at the 2008 EICMA trade show in Milan. The Streetfighter was designed by Damien Basset of the Ducati design team and utilized the 1,099cc liquid-cooled 90° V-twin Testrastretta engine shared with the Ducati 1098 sport bike model. Compared to the 1098, the Streetfighter produced 5 fewer horsepower, due to a different airbox. In addition to the lack of fairing, the Streetfighter differed from the sport bike in that it had a longer swingarm and therefore a longer wheelbase, as well as wider handlebars.

In addition to the standard model, an upgraded Streetfighter S was available, equipped with Öhlins suspension components, Marchesini forged wheels and parts made of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic.
