True antique dress with long sleeves, pleated bodice, collar, and ruffle around the hem. This is dark blue with cream print, wrap style at the waist with hook and eye to close at the waist and hidden buttons at the bodice. Fabric appears to be cotton, not a totally smooth finish. Hand made and absolutely wonderful piece of history. Not sure of the exact time it was made, I was told by the lady at the antique store that it was possibly as late as the 1920's, but to me it looks like it could be late 1800's prairie/day dress, or could be from Victorian/Edwardian era. Not sure of exact age, but it is original and in excellent condition. I'm not an expert on this era, but it is in good enough shape that it could be in a museum, and is still perfectly wearable. 

Condition is excellent for age, this has been carefully stored and preserved. The waist is tiny, probably because a corset would have been worn underneath. There are hooks and eyes at the waist to close, and at least one of them is missing, so I used a safety pin for the photos. I will leave it up to the buyer to add any missing hooks and eyes. Condition is amazing.

Maker - hand made antique, this dress was made sometime between the late 1800's to the early 1920's.

Measurements were taken with garment laying flat and measured side to side. Please take a few minutes to measure a similar garment you already own that fits you well, and compare those measurements to the measurements given to insure proper fit. Be sure to message me with any questions, as I take the time to measure and post the information for you, so I do not give refunds for items that don't fit.

This is shown on mannequin who measures 24-25-34 and I couldn't get it completely closed at the waist since she doesn't have any give...but this should fit 23-24 at the waist maximum. A corset would have been worn underneath this dress back when it was made.

Bust measures about 17 inches across

Waist measures about 11 inches across

Hips are full and free and measure about 23 inches across without pulling gathers other than gently

Length is about 54 inches from shoulder seam to hem

Sweep at top of ruffle for the hem is about 45 inches across, or about 90 inches in diameter. I'm sure a petticoat would have been worn underneath.
