This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE PENDANT NECKLACE that was made in the EDWARDIAN style, c1900 - c1910. It is made from PLATINUM, including the 17-7/8” chain and the clasp is stamped 950. The pendant is bezel-set with 1 ROSE CUT DIAMOND (top) of J color, SI clarity that has a .38 ct spread and weighs approximately .20 ct. The pendant is centrally-set with a beautifully carved piece of ROCK CRYSTAL that is then centrally-set with 1 OLD MINE CUT DIAMOND of H-I color, SI clarity that weighs approx. .30 ct. This diamond has a closed back.

The pendant is detailed with 39 OLD SINGLE CUT DIAMONDS of G-H-I color, SI to I clarity (no black carbon inclusions and ‘eye clean’) that weigh approx. .78 ctw. One of the tiny diamonds (less than 1 point) is missing, but it is impossible to see this unless you very intently study the piece. Nobody would notice this when you are wearing the necklace and it is not worth the risk of possible damage to the piece in trying to reset such a tiny diamond. This pendant has a total diamond weight of approx. 1.28 ctw. with BEAUTIFUL SPARKLE!

The pendant measures 2-9/16” long from the top of the rose cut diamond to the bottom tip. The width is 1-3/8” at the widest point and it is 9 mm at the thickest point. The total weight is 16.5 grams. I am wondering if at one time this pendant was a brooch (turned sideways) or maybe part of a larger elaborate piece of jewelry. Just my thoughts … it does not show any reworking or soldering anywhere. Either way, THIS IS A STUNNING PENDANT with GORGEOUS DETAIL! PERFECT FOR A WEDDING … ANY SPECIAL OCCASIONS … or even, FOR EVERYDAY IF YOU LIVE A DRESSED UP LIFESTYLE!

*A NOTE ABOUT OUR PHOTOGRAPHY – Taking pictures of diamonds to be displayed on a computer screen can be difficult, often resulting in the diamonds looking dark (especially rose cut diamonds) when in reality they are not. If you are looking at any of our pictures and feel that the diamonds look dark, please refer to the description of the item that states the accurate color and clarity of the stones.

Also, jewelry and/or diamond grading is done under 10X magnification. When you super-size our photos you will see the item in 100X magnification. Please be aware that you may see things that cannot be seen with your eyes or a jeweler’s loupe. Sometimes these magnified images can make the item look distorted or appear to have problems when in reality it is fine. I list only high quality pieces and avoid those with problems or in need of repair unless it is described as such in the listing. If you are seeing something that you are not sure of, please inquire about it.

REFUND POLICY: The buyer has the right to a refund should the item not be suitable. The item must be promptly returned in its original condition without damage, alteration, repair or signs of wear when examined under a 10x jewelers loupe. Buyer is responsible for return shipping fees unless we have mistakenly misrepresented the item.
