Vintage Paragon Red & Gold Teacup and Saucer by Royal Appointment To Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth 1960's Tea Cup English Tea Party Bone China

The Paragon China Company was a British manufacturer of fine bone china known for producing high quality tea and tableware, and was granted royal warrants by several members of the British Royal Family. The Paragon name was discontinued in 1992 and although some patterns remain in production under the Royal Albert name - this was also discontinued by Royal Doulton.

This lovely pairing was by Royal Appointment of Queen Elizabeth. Based on the Paragon stamp design and coloring, the warrant issued for this set was done around 1963.

This wonderful set is in magnificent condition! The handle and gentle scalloping on the edges is accented with bright gold gilding. The design of the pairing are a deep maroon color overlaid with golden filigree, which encompassed a subtle scroll and floral design.

The cup measures 2-1/2" tall to the top of the handle, 3-7/8" across the top and 1-7/8" across the base. The saucer measures 5-1/2" across the top, 1" in height and 2-34" across the base. The set is in amazing vintage condition! No damage of note - chips, cracks, scratches, crazing or repairs. There are some manufacturing marks, please see pictures.

Whether for the new collector or the connoisseur, this stunning, royally designed teacup & saucer will be a lovely addition to any vintage china collection!!
