Here comes just one more fantastic antique toy offered by the “PA TOYS OF TIMES PAST” collection. C. 1932. One of the nicest and best action of the pre-war Popeye toys. Very bright colors and one of the best I’ve seen in awhile. There is no on and off switch, you wind him up and he punches at the bag. This is the light bag version. The bag is original, but slightly faded. There is some scratching and wear to the top circular panel above Popeye figure. There are nice lithographed characters of Oliver Oyl, Popeye and others on the base. It is marked "1932 King Features Syndicate" and "Segar," who did the cartoons and has a cigar mark, which he often used. It has the original pipe. The lithographed base shows Popeye with boxing gloves saying "Blow Me Down." From the Mark Kuster Collection.
