Description

For your consideration I have an original typed signed letter by Albert Smith to Mr. Preston Goodfellow of 141 Argyle Road of Brooklyn about the serious homeless condition in New York city brought on by the Great Depression. The letter is dated November 8th 1933 as Smith serves as Chairman Coordinating Committee on Unemployment relief.

I have included a brief bio of Preston Goodfellow from the New York Times.

Condition report: This letter is taped to another piece of paper as it was framed from an attorney’s law office in Manhattan.
