This vintage postcard features Abraham Lincoln’s home, located on the northeast corner of Eighth and Jackson Streets in Springfield, Illinois. The home was built in 1839 by Rev. Charles Dresser and purchased by Lincoln in 1844. It served as the residence for Lincoln, his wife, and their children until they moved to Washington, D.C., in 1861. The postcard includes a handwritten message and a 19-cent USA fawn stamp.
