If you have this flatware set and do not have the matching two piece carving knife, this is the first time a set has found its way to in at least 3 years. Actually we were unable to find a comparison anywhere including Google and replacements. This very well could be your only opportunity to purchase a matching set.

What’s even better? No monograms! Rare enough to find a set this old but to find it without any personalizations?

Carving knife is 10 inches long and matching fork is 8.5 inches long. Very hard to read the Sterling Handle mark on either but we think we got a photo using extra light. Both are in otherwise excellent shape as well.

And who was Polly Lawton?

Mary “Polly” Lawton (1761-1793) was born in Newport to great wealth. She was introduced to many prominent men during the Revolutionary War, including George Washington and Rochambeau, all of whom vividly remembered and remarked upon her beauty, grace and piety, earning her a place in colonial history.
