Pairpont Manufacturing Company Silverplate Baby Cup circa 1920s


The cup has an engraved front with flowers & “baby”.


The traditionally styled cup is 2 1/4” inches tall. It has a 2.25 inch wide base. With an ornate handle.

The bottom of the mug is stamped with the part number 445 and the manufacturer's mark. A "P" is centered in a diamond in an arch at the top is says QUADRUPLE in capital letters at the top and PLATE at the bottom, enclosed by a circular border. At the top arch is says PAIRPOINT MFG CO in the top arch and NEW BEDFORD, MASS at the bottom arch, both in capital letters.


Pairpoint Manufacturing company founded by renown silversmith Thomas Pairpoint, which made silver and metalware products, and has continued, in a variety of names and locations, through the present.


There is wear consistent with the age of the piece and consistent with what appears to be its very frequent use. There are scratches on the bottom of the cup and nicks and scratches to the lip. There is wear and pitting to the plating throughout
