Regarding the comics industry recent reholder scandal / scam, please note that all books I sell were submitted directly by me to CGC at various comic conventions (as well as the occasional private signing event).  I do not buy already graded books and then resell them.  So every CGC item I have for sale was graded by CGC and then came directly to me and not through another dealer.  Please further note that photos, prints, and original art sketches (that are not on actual comic books but are rather just on sketch paper or the like? i.e. anything certified by CGC that does not have a grade, are not searchable on their site by the serial number.  Only graded comics and magazines - items with grades - are searchable by serial number.  However, for such items not searchable on their site, you can call CGC Customer Service and they can verify the item authentication over the phone.  

This Vault Collectible's exclusive edition of Red Sonja Age of Chaos #1 is limited to only 500 produced and features a stunning virgin variant cover by Nathan Szerdy.  Signed by Szerdy with an original art sketch drawn on its back cover, it is professionally graded by CGC at 9.8 as part of their special Signature Series.  With Signature Series books a certified CGC witness actually observes the signing of the comic and then immediately takes possession of the book so there is no possibility of the real autograph being switched out with another.  It will be shipped with the utmost care.  Of note, Mr. Szerdy forgot to sign the comic after drawing the sketch, hence the different signing date from the sketching date.

About the artist: 

A comics fan since childhood, Szerdy’s love of comics led to a professional career as an illustrator. His work has appeared in numerous children’s books, album covers, and original art sketch cards for DC Comics, The Walking Dead, Adventure Time, and Rick and Morty. A noted pinup artist, Szerdy’s work has also appeared in newspapers, 3-D animation, science museums, murals, and merchandise and as a variant cover artist to J. Scott Campbell’s Danger Girl: Twenty Years.  Other cover work includes Batman/Maxx Arkham Dreams #1, Red Sonja, Vampirella, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, John Carter, Zombie Tramp, Lady Death, La Muerta, Hellwitch, Nottie and Nyce, and Hardlee Thin, among others. He’s also published his own graphic novel, Lola and the 11 Secrets.
