Unique, lovely and rare relatively understated standing French inkstand or inkwell on brilliant pink with lid covered well and pen/writing instrument holder adorned with gold flourishes, rocialle cockle shell border and regency style pegged feet.
Bears the August 8, 1887 registered trademark of two crossed arrows, used around the time that Eugene Marx Clauss had joined forces with Achille Bloch and Leon Bourdois (who were both collaborators of Samson) and were operating under the name Clauss & Co from 1887 - 1890 in the small factory started by Eugene's grandfather Jean-Marx Clauss in 1788 on rue de la Pierre-Levee in Paris.
This antique Porcelaine de Paris gilt encrier, inkstand, circa 1880 is a true treasure from Bourdois et Bloch. The intricately designed porcelain material and vintage style make it a great addition to any collection. Its origin in France adds to its exclusivity and historical significance.

RETURN / REFUND POLICY
Returns on previously-owned or collectible, vintage and antique items will only be accepted if the item was damaged during transit, or if we sent you the wrong item by mistake.
Please contact us immediately upon receiving a damanged package or incorrect item. We will supply you with a pre-paid return shipping label to print at home so you can return the item.
- Damaged Items - Please return damaged items and include the damaged packaging iniside your return package. If we are able, we will exchange the damanged item, or provide a full refund.
- For Items Sent by Mistake, please send your item in its original packaging. Sealed packages that have been opened and items that show signs of use will not be eligible for a refund. Upon receipt of you return, we can dispatch the correct item or provide a full refund upon request.
- All other return or refund requests must be made within 14 days of item delivery. If granted, we will refund your order total, minus the original cost of shipping upon receipt of your returned item. Buyer is responsible for costs of return shipments.
