The White House Christmas Ornament 2003 A Child's Rocking Horse With Box

The 2003 White House Christmas Ornament honors President Ulysses S. Grant and his family.

Inspired by an authentic Victorian illustration of a child’s joy at Christmas, this hand-painted porcelain figure is surrounded by a 24-karat, gold-finished brass wreath with enameled colors. Features toys available at Washington’s fancy goods stores during the Grant administration (1869-77) adorn a wreath as a steam locomotive swings back and forth below.
