*What should I do if the wax is too soft and stuck in the case?
*Do I need to remove the wax before eating or drinking?
If the wax is left in a hot condition, it could get very soft and get stuck in the storage case. Just put it in the fridge for a few minutes, it will easily separate from the storage case.
During winter or in cold temperatures, orthodontic wax often hardens, making it tricky to apply. You can soften the wax by warming it first. A practical approach is to press the wax against the outside of a cup filled with hot water for a while. Once the wax softens, knead it between your fingers to achieve a more pliable texture. This method will enhance the wax's stickiness, ensuring it adheres more effectively to your braces.
Although you can eat and drink while wearing orthodontic wax, it’s not recommended. Food may get stuck to the wax, which will result in bacteria buildup. Additionally, drinking water may dislodge the wax. It’s best to remove the wax before you eat or drink anything and then re-apply it after you’re done.
