A vintage set of 5 hand-blown milk glass brooding or nesting eggs. These were put in young hens nests to encourage them to lay eggs. These fake eggs tricked them into nesting and made it easier for farmers to collect their unbroken eggs. These glass eggs make for a beautiful arrangement in a country home. 

They are all hand blown and have pontils on the bottom. They are the size of a chicken egg and measure approx. 2-1/2" long. They range in weight from 1.1 ounce to .06 ounces 

In very good pre-owned condition, no chips, no cracks.
