RARE mid-30's pre-war era "moving iron" armature-driven cone speaker in very good condition and works well too. Played many hours while restoring a Knight (Allied) A-9811 radio it came from. Speaker is about 6 1/2" and as typical with moving-iron speakers, fidelity is mid-range with poor handling of bass. Has a small crack in the cone at upper left near basket, paper however is in impressive condition. Manufacturing seam can be seen running from center to edge.
The output tube that drove this is an RCA 19 (dual triode in push-pull configuration). Polarity indicated by color on outside terminals. Center terminal is B+ 185 volts. Coil resistance is ~598 ohms, with 328 Ohm (pos) and 270 Ohm (neg) from center tap respectively. Fourth lug is chassis ground.
May be able to use on other restorations requiring this type of speaker as long as output and B+ specifications are similar.
