Gently used shorts measure about 17" flat across (34" waist). 

The tie is a bit fuzzy from getting stuck in the velc* r0 (not allowed to use the brand name anymore) fastener and there is a slight small faint gray spot on the waistband-so faint it looks more like a small shadow-shown in photo 5.
