"Bio: Milena Moriani, born in Genova (1934- 2018), lived and worked near Pisa.
Her paintings and sculpture have been in many solo and group shows, both in Italy and abroad. She is represented in public and private collections in Italy, the United States, Brazil, Canada, France, Belgium, Russia.
Her art, which resist the confines of a limited definition, ranges from figurative to an abstract decomposition which still presents signs identifying the existence of things.
Moriani creates her works with imagination, memory, poetry, mixing each sensation with the courage of the artist who is not bound by time because she allows herself to express what she wants,absolutely modern and ancient at the same time in transferring onto canvas what she sees around her.
Her works range in size from the smallest button or pebble to paintings 12 feet, 18 feet...even 60 feet long.
