The 8" Surface Element is an OEM part for GE electric ranges. This surface element provides an additional burner for cooking multiple pots and pans.

The surface element operates smoothly to deliver precise heat levels through an easy to control dial. It maintains consistent temperatures for optimal cooking performance across pans.

Causes of surface element malfunctions include wear over time, breaks or cracks in the coil coil,or damage from constant high heat settings or spills

Symptoms of a bad surface element includes:

Uneven cooking surfaces
Difficulty reaching or maintaining set temperatures
Premature failure indicated by non-responsive controls or fast cooling of pans.
