Rosary Meditation
Vintage Catholic Holy Card
Perfect for a little nook or prayer corner, this simple and delightful picture shows the action of the Rosary, souls protected within it, drawing towards the Sacred Heart of our gentle Lord. "Next to him, Jesus calls us. Let us rest in his heart," says the card.
In 19th Catholic art, white lilies represent purity, especially of our Mother, and also harken to the resurrection a la the Easter lily. The periwinkle blue flowers are a traditional symbol of Mary, representing promise and hope, and they imply everlastingness and love.
What a sweet little reminder this is of the Rosary and what it means. Especially charming in the 5x7 size, this card can be devotional art for simple meditation, as it was meant to be when first printed 170 years ago.
** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! There is a white border of about 0.5" inch for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11", or 1.6" for 11x14" pictures. All Approx! Fine art printers do this because the images are almost never the same rectangular ratio of the standard paper sizes. It also gives the prints a finished look, and lets them look good in a frame without a matt.
- Acid-free paper
- Archival pigments, rated to last for generations.
- Cardboard backer
- Above story of the art
- Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
