This is for a Zzepair zipper repair kit for replacing the zipper slider/head on YETl coolers with an approximately 3/8" wide zipper. Most all of their soft sided coolers use this zipper. See image. Some of their early coolers with a silver colored head on the zipper may not be wide enough. Check yours or send me a photo.

You will receive the kit shown including 20" inches of black nylon cord to get you up and running. You will also receive a message with instructions via messages. Your entire zipper needs to be intact. A tooth missing here and there is usually ok. More about this below.

If you still have your original pull handle you can attach it with the cord. Do not attach any metal rings or metal loops directly to this replacement head. Only use soft nylon or leather cord.

Zippers in general have a single zipper pull attached on the top center of the head which is more convenient but it can contribute to aging these zippers prematurely
This replacement head has zipper pulls at each end where they belong. A zipper works better and lasts longer with a pull at each end.

If your zipper has 3 or more consecutive missing teeth then this is not likely to work. Replacement teeth will be available soon. The gap across 3 missing teeth is too wide and the new head will tend to come off the zipper at that spot where the 3 teeth are missing.

If your cooler has a lid and you have 2 or more consecutive teeth missing in a corner of the lid then this is not likely to work for the same reason. The new head will walk off of the zipper at that spot in the corner where the 2 teeth are missing. You could still try it.

Do not buy this kit if you are not willing to wax your zipper before attaching this new head. You don't need special zipper wax. A cheap stick of chapped lip balm sold at the grocery store checkout works fine plus it's food safe.

Optional zipper stop:
If your zipper is missing the hard plastic U-shaped stop at either end you will need to make a new end-stop. An end-stop is required to prevent the new head from sliding off of the end of the zipper teeth. Let me know and I can add a ziptie to your shipment. The best way to add a new stop is to pierce the cooler just above and below the zipper and then run a ziptie through it. The ideal place for the ziptie is actually just before the teeth begin. There is a trade off in doing this. Two tiny holes up near the top will leave your cooler 99% watertight but at the moment it's not watertight at all. The holes could also be sealed up with food grade silicone.

*Guarantee: This is guaranteed to NOT work on some zippers. There's no other way to put it. Some zippers are just too far out of spec to get working again. It depends entirely on the condition of your zipper, the alignment of the teeth, and how hard it's been pulled/forced before, etc. No zipper is perfect including the original one. The best I can do is take this back if it doesn't work.

If this fixes your YETl then rate me on that. If it doesn't work, which it might not but I hope it does, then rate me on the ease of return. No rating at all is also understandable.

If you need this in time for an upcoming trip or other close deadline you should account for all factors including the time stated to get this to USPS plus their time to deliver it which I cannot control. Scroll up to check's estimated delivery date range. The latest date is the most realistic.

After design and manufacturing costs + seller fees + PayPal's transaction fees + postal shipping fees + a percentage of returns this is just barely worth selling online because of all the middle men. Otherwise a direct sale would only cost about $22. I did this to get otherwise perfectly good YETl coolers back into service.
