25+ SEEDS Pink Pentas Flowers (Pentas lanceolata)
To grow Pentas lanceolata (Pink Pentas) from seeds, you can start them indoors 7–12 weeks before the last frost and then transplant them outdoors after the frost:
Sow the seeds directly on the surface of a high-quality seed starting mix without covering them. Pentas seeds need light to germinate.
Keep the soil moist but not saturated at a temperature of 70–75°F. You can cover the tray with plastic or glass to help retain moisture.
Place the seeds in a bright location with lots of sunlight, like a sunny windowsill, or under grow lights. If using grow lights, turn them on for 16 hours a day and off for 8 hours at night, and raise them as the plants grow taller.
After 2–3 weeks, seedlings should emerge.
Harden off the seedlings for at least a week before transplanting them outdoors.
Space the plants 12–15 inches apart in a location with full sun and well-drained, average to fertile soil.
