Azolla is a smaller, easy to grow floating plant. Floating plants need slow moving water and don’t like to be splashed or dunked under water over and over by the filter, minimal/slow water movement is best.  

These are beautiful floating plants. They produce the best color when under good lighting, just like humans tan when in the sun, plants change colors when under good lighting too. Even in low light these plants can thrive, they will be more green in color.
