Schleich - Pteranodon  15008
The Pteranodon was one of the largest pterosaurs in the Cretaceous period. The striking bony crest on the rear of its head provided a counterweight to its long beak. It probably didn't flap its wings very often, but instead took advantage of the wind to glide through the air, similar to an albatross.
This Pteranodon measures 9 x 6 inch (W x L).
The art work and detail are beautiful on this hand painted figure.
Part of the Dinosaur Series by Schleich.
