Included are 5 wooden pegs in three colours for counting the score. Card are available for an extra charge. Each team has two pegs, one for scoring and one for games won, and the fifth peg is for the suit. Pass this box to the dealer to remember whose turn it is to deal. The dealer for that hand will mark the score. Wood Artist Paul Szewc of Guelph, Ontario, Canada designed and built this awesome euchre counter.
The box is made of solid Cherry.
The box lid has been laser engraved and will not face or wear off—an upgrade from the screen-printed or wood burned engraving often seen. He made the numbers large for easier reading. Finished with multiple sanding's and sprayed with sealer then sanded again and then sealed. This creates that smooth-to-the-touch finish. This process is the same as what a high quality piece of furniture receives. It is very durable and requires no care. Simply wipe with a damp cloth if it becomes dirty. It will last for many years to come.
No stains have been used - all natural wood only.
The top fits snugly into the base, held in place by rare earth magnets. The bottom consists of two compartments; one for the cards and one for pegs.
