Description:
Original Western Union Telegram from President Ronald Reagan To Hazel Burgess sent May 9, 1951. President Reagan was inviting Ms. Burgess, who had worked in television films, to a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Screen Actors Guild. The item is two pages. There are a few creases and very small tears around the edge of the telegrams due to age and handling. Very good condition. 

First page of the telegram:
In matter of utmost importance to all of us, I am inviting group of representative motion picture actors who have worked in television films, to meet with full board of directors of screen actors guild next Monday night May 14 at nine pm in Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel Redwood Room. You are one of this group and I sincerely hope that you can be with us and give us the benefit of your advice and actively participate in the membership committee drive to acquaint all actors with the issues at stake in the forthcoming National Labor Relations 

Second page of the telegram:
board election for motion picture actors. You, like the overwhelming majority of motion picture actors, are loyal to the screen actors guild and want the guild to remain the exclusive union representative of all motion picture actors.
