Moso bamboo can be found in the wild in subtropical and tropical areas of Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa, America, and even in Oceania. Moso bamboo is becoming more and more popular with gardeners. Sowing and growing:

1. Sowing Spring or Autumn. Soak the seed with water for half hours, then disinfect the seed with 0.3% potassium permanganate for 2 to 4 hours.

2. Clean the seeds with water and soak them for 24 hours.

3. Take out the seeds and dry them for 1 to 2 hours.

4. Dig a few small holes in soil, then sow 3 to 4 seeds in each hole, cover with soil about 1.5cm.(The best choice is sandy soils. Seeds will take about 20 days to sprout when the temperature is 68-77°F. It will take about about 30 days when the temperature is 59-64°F. It will take about 2 months for the seeds to germinate when the temperature is lower than 50°F.)

5. Cover with straw and sprinkle profoundly water.

6. Germination will be 10 to 15 days. Keep the soil wet and weed during germination.

7. It can be transplanted after the seedling grows up 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6").

Moso Bamboo is a fast-growing perennial evergreen tree.Tree height can grow up to 10-20 meter or 33-66 feet, Max Cum Diameter up to 18cm or 7 inches.The root system is very concentrated and dense,  and a warm humid climate is necessary for bamboo growing. The annual average temperature should be 15-25°C or  59-77° F.
