Small school stamp front and back inside covers. Beautifully vibrant color from Platt & Munk throughout. The artful beauty and color of their illustration is what they are known for.

Racine, Wisconsin: Whitman Publishing, 1944. Stapled wraps with wear at top corners, small rips, tiny piece missing top left front and right back cover. Fuzzy on cover worn, internals very good. Including covers, 12 pages. Each subsequent page smaller than one before until you get to center of book, then they get bigger again. Story of Little Edgar the Elephant. Illustrated by Pat Sanchez

Assume ink in the paper has long ago dried up too much for use with water. Cute action pictures of a young boy and his dog.
