The author writes "This book contains portraits of 51 women artists in their personal space, their studios and other locations of their choice. 30 of the portraits were created in an 11 week period following receipt of the Leff/Davis Fund for Visual Artists in October, 2014. Those 30 were exhibited in February, 2015 at Archival Gallery in Sacramento, CA. The remaining 21 portraits of women artists are from my archive of artist portraits now numbering almost 300.
