Chicago Lustre Viburnum Shrub – Glossy Foliage & Blue-Purple Fruit, 8-10' Tall

You're purchasing one Chicago Lustre viburnum, a shrub chosen for its attractive, upright, rounded form and dense growth habit. The foliage is a striking glossy deep green that transforms into stunning shades of red to purple during the fall. In June, this viburnum produces clusters of creamy white flowers that eventually mature into globe-shaped fruit. By August, these fruits develop into a deep porcelain blue to blue-purple hue, providing a valuable food source for birds. The Chicago Lustre viburnum is highly versatile, thriving in dry, poor soils with varying pH levels, and is resilient against heat, drought, and pollution. This makes it an excellent choice for formal or informal hedges, border plantings, group arrangements, or as a standout specimen shrub. At maturity, it reaches a height and width of 8 to 10 feet.

This viburnum is hardy in USDA zones 5-7. Each order comes with detailed planting instructions. Please note that due to California's soil restrictions, these plants must be shipped bare root, and we recommend placing dormant orders from October to April if you are located in California.
