Meanwhile in Midsomer St Clare someone is using ancient torture methods to punish modern-day 'sinners'; and heated relationships lead to a brutal and untimely death for the landlord of Wyvern House. The investigative pair also delve into the world of stunt pilots and military heroes; and examine a death caused by a murderous tin of biscuits, which leads them to Denmark to join forces with the Copenhagen cops to solve the killing.
