Solid wood. Does not have a hanger on the back. Is made to hang from the little loop on the wire attached to the top, although you could add one easily to the back if you want. See pics.
The sign says, "Grandma's Kitchen Tasters Welcome Everything made with love and an extra spoon of sugar"
Size is approx 12 inches wide by 6 inches tall. Spoon is tarnished and in my opinion adds to the charm.
