Vintage silver plated oval serving dish - Sheffield reproduction; features an electroplated copper bowl with lid, including a fitting ovenware glass inlay, Made in USA. 

The dish is approximately 11.5 inches (29 cm) long, 8.75 inches (22 cm) wide and 5.5 inches (14 cm) in height. It weights (inclusive the glass inlay) 3.80 lb (1.727kg).

The bowl is marked as "GEORGIAN PLATE" "Sheffield Reproduction" "6543", and has beside the 6543 number some initials (P BMA NBC) scratched in. The glass inlay is marked as OVENWARE 55-8 MADE IN USA. 

The serving dish is used and has some of the usual traces of wear. There are some scratch marks here and there. Some shelf wear on the bottom of the dish. There is also a silver loss spot on the inside of the bowl, exposing a small are with the copper material (see last picture).

Overall a beautiful vintage silver plated dish - a must have for silverware enthusiasts!
