The Tweedie Footwear Corporation began in 1917. Company President Charles Tweedie invented the popular Tweedie Boot-Top. This pair boasts 15 buttons each, plus an extra button on the inside, presumably in case you should lose one. The original Tweedies label is still sewn inside, and this information is printed on the lining: 8C 13n 27 0 22 Pat. Sept. 21.15 - May 15.17 (the last digit is nearly worn away and very hard to make out; I think it's a "7").
They measure 11" from top to bottom and If there's anything I can do to help you figure out the size, please email me.
This vintage pair looks hardly used, or maybe they just wear phenomenally well. In any case, they will be a great addition to any historical reenactment or steampunk costume.
